Los Angeles - February 20, 2007
- CheckSum, a leading supplier of in-circuit test (ICT)
systems, announced at APEX that a major consumer audio
electronics manufacturer recently ordered multiple CheckSum test
and in-system programming (MultiWriter ISP) systems that
integrate boundary-scan software and hardware from Corelis, a
leading supplier of high-performance boundary-scan and emulation
tools.
The customer selected Corelis’
ScanExpress boundary-scan tools to develop JTAG (boundary-scan)
test programs that will run on the CheckSum Analyst ems
in-circuit tester.
In addition, CheckSum and Corelis
will demonstrate integration of Corelis boundary-scan test
programs with CheckSum ICT test programs running on a CheckSum
Analyst tester at APEX in the CheckSum booth, number 2105.
"Integrating Corelis’ ScanExpress
boundary-scan test system with the Analyst ems in-circuit tester
allows design and test engineers to develop and apply
boundary-scan tests early in the product life cycle during
product development and prototype stages," said Karla May,
Boundary-Scan Product Marketing Manager at Corelis. "Then,
following product release, the reuse of the same proven test
vectors in manufacturing significantly reduces test development
costs and time to market. Our customers were asking us to
integrate our system with CheckSum Analyst ems in-circuit
tester, and we are pleased that Checksum worked with us to
deliver this capability."
Scheduled for delivery in the first
quarter of 2007, the Analyst testers equipped with Corelis
boundary-scan hardware and software provide integrated
boundary-scan test at a much lower cost than implementing
boundary-scan on a traditional in-circuit tester.
John VanNewkirk, CheckSum President
and CEO, stated, "This example underscores the benefits of
CheckSum’s test system flexibility and our willingness to
partner with other best-in-class test solution providers."
CheckSum’s Analyst testers,
including the new Analyst ems+ft and Analyst fcs, offer seamless
integration of third-party test solutions, including
boundary-scan tools from all the leading suppliers.
