Sales Engineer
(Cerritos, CA)

Position Summary

  • Respond as Corelis’ front-line sales resource to customer inquiries regarding Corelis software and hardware products.

  • Proactively develop new business opportunities in various vertical or geographic markets.

  • Conduct online and on-site product demonstrations independently and in conjunction with independent rep firms.

  • Work closely with customer technical staff to appropriately define system requirements.

  • Develop winning proposals and quotations.

Education and Experience Required

  • Prospect development and sales follow-up including creation of customer quotations.

  • Developing technical proficiency with all Corelis products and serve as a technical resource to customers on Corelis products and services.

  • Coordinating sales efforts of independent rep firms on certain accounts.

  • Conducting product presentations and demonstrations at Corelis; online via the web; at the customer’s location and at industry meetings.

  • Traveling to customer sites for technical presentations and sales calls.

  • Participation in industry trade shows and seminars.

  • Collecting and presenting market and competitor information to appropriate Corelis personnel.

  • Supporting general marketing activities of Corelis as required.

Specific Skills

  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth mastery of all Corelis products and capabilities.

  • Consultative selling skills to assist the customer in identifying their requirements and presenting recommendations on the most appropriate solutions.

  • Management skills required to effectively organize & lead meetings at Corelis, customers’ locations, or industry functions.

  • Presentation skills and confidence to present company & product in one-on-one settings or to large gatherings of potential customers.

  • Excellent writing skills for the production of proposals and technical correspondence with customers.

  • Must be self-sufficient to be technically conversant with key customer personnel.

Education and Experience Required

  • BSEE is required.

  • 3-5 years demonstrated sales success with hardware development tools, automated test equipment or embedded software development tools. A strong track record of sales success with boundary-scan (JTAG) test tools is highly desirable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.

  • A commitment to total customer satisfaction is necessary.

Medical

This is an Indemnity Plan sometimes referred to as an 80/20 Plan.  It simply means that you may seek health care from whichever health care practitioner you choose.  There are no restrictions as you would find in an HMO or PPO based plan.

Dental

This is also an Indemnity Plan sometimes referred to as an 80/20 Plan.  It simply means that you may seek dental health care from whichever dental health care practitioner you choose.  There are no restrictions as you would find in an HMO or PPO based plan.  There is no cost for preventive dental care.

Vision

This is also an Indemnity Plan sometimes referred to as an 80/20 Plan.  It simply means that you may seek vision care from whichever practitioner you choose.  There are no restrictions as you would find in an HMO or PPO based plan.  Although you do have a choice regarding vision care.  You may be attended by anyone you chose or you may participate in the Vision Service Plan (VSP) which is a form of PPO.  What is the difference?  If you are attended by a practitioner that is a member of the VSP, the maximum out of pocket expense you will ever incur is $10 (ten dollars).  If you are attended by a practitioner that is outside the VSP, deductibles and co-pays will apply.

Prescription

The most you will ever pay for a prescription is $3 (three dollars) for brand names, and $1 (one dollar) for generic names.

401K

We offer retirement planning with Fidelity Investments.  Corelis will match 100% of your contribution up to a maximum of 6% of your income.

Life Insurance

We provide employees with life insurance by METLife.  It is double your annual salary.  Your spouse is covered to $5,000 and each child to $2,000.

Long Term Disability Insurance

Corelis provides long term disability insurance by UNUM. 

Vacation

  • First two years of service – 10 days each year

  • After two years of service – 15 days each year

  • After four years of service – 20 days each year

Holidays

There are nine paid holidays each year.

  • New Years Day

  • Presidents Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Columbus Day

  • Thanksgiving Day and the Following Day

  • Christmas Day

Flexible Compensation Program

Enables employees to pay health insurance premiums, dependent/child care expenses, and medical expenses not covered by insurance with before tax dollars thereby reducing taxable wages and increasing spend-able income.

Legal Services

Corelis will provide legal services to settle your estate.

Educational Assistance

  • Two years of service – Corelis will cover 50% of your costs

  • Greater than two years of service – Corelis will cover 100% of your costs
